With more than three decades in family medicine, Dr. Bruce Pendley leads In Good Health as its Medical Director—bringing scientific rigor, deep compassion, and a lifelong commitment to whole-family wellness to every patient relationship.
Dr. Bruce Pendley has spent more than three decades doing what he loves most: caring for patients and families across every stage of life. As the Medical Director of In Good Health, he brings the kind of steady, experienced leadership that gives both patients and clinical staff confidence that they are in good hands.
His academic foundation is exceptional. He earned his Chemistry degree from Emory University in Atlanta in 1983—a rigorous scientific grounding that would define his evidence-based approach to medicine—before going on to complete his MD at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 1987.
Following medical school, Dr. Pendley completed his Family Practice Residency in Rome, Georgia (1987–1990), emerging as a board-certified physician through the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). His specialty training in Hospice and Palliative Care gave him a profound, irreplaceable perspective on the human side of medicine—one that continues to shape how In Good Health approaches every patient interaction.
Today, Dr. Pendley works closely alongside Dr. Laurie Davis, NP, who leads day-to-day patient care and consultations. Together, under the umbrella of AlwaysInGoodHealth.com, they offer patients a seamless, comprehensive experience grounded in trust, expertise, and genuine compassion.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Pendley is a proud husband and father of two sons. His love of gardening, beekeeping, and the natural world reflect the same patient, attentive care he brings to his practice—and his years as a Boy Scout and Scoutmaster speak to a lifelong commitment to service, integrity, and community.
As Medical Director, Dr. Pendley sets the clinical standard for everything In Good Health does. His oversight ensures that every patient—whether seen by himself or by Dr. Laurie Davis, NP—receives care that meets the highest professional and ethical standards.
"Better health for the whole family isn't just a tagline. It's a commitment we take seriously with every single patient."
Dr. Pendley's leadership model is rooted in collaboration, trust, and the belief that the best care happens when physician and patient truly know one another.
Dr. Pendley's training spans some of the Southeast's most respected academic institutions—from Emory's rigorous pre-med sciences to the Medical College of Georgia's distinguished medical program.
Under the medical leadership of Dr. Pendley and the direct care of Dr. Laurie Davis, NP—In Good Health is ready to be your family's trusted healthcare home.
